Mucci Farms Celebrates Launch and Recognition at International Fresh Produce Association’s Global Produce & Floral Show

The feat accomplished at the recent Global Produce & Floral Show (GPFS) by the International Fresh Produce Association (IFPA) was not a small one. Over 1,100 exhibited to our industry after a long hiatus from what is among the launchpads of innovation for the fresh calendar. With expectations high, Mucci Farms came fully prepared in offerings and presentation.

“We had a wonderful time at the first GPFS connecting with our retailers and fellow exhibitors. Our goal was to reinforce our snacking varieties through our Colors of Flavor theme, and this was executed at our booth as well in the activation center,” Emily Murracas, Director of Marketing, reflected. “Our chefs put together some excellent recipes representing our assortment of products which attendees couldn’t get enough of! Our team became the theme by wearing different pantone colors representing our items as well as in the activation center with the Fresh Mix Challenge. Several hundred attendees played the match game at our Mucci’fied vending machine with great enthusiasm, all taking home some great prizes!”

Part of a broader effort to help retailers visualize partnering with Mucci Farms at the store level across an entire snacking category, the Fresh Mix Challenge combined interactive fun with business acumen. Those who played took on a classic game for the chance to win big prizes, but the larger win was seeing the visual appeal of Mucci Farms’ rebranded items.

Sitting side by side, they offered a preview of the potentially colorful, very eye-catching display that could be in anyone’s produce department. And Fresh Mix challengers weren’t the only ones getting recognition.

“At the show, we were honored to be named a finalist for Packaging Innovation with our Paper Top Seal container that is now available in a ReSeal format. This offers more convenience to consumers as they can store leftover product in the same package. With plastic reduction and sustainability as a top of mind global conversation, we’re proud to contribute to the conversation with potential solutions to these challenges,” Emily explained.

A show floor spanning 1,100-plus booths of companies who have waited to shine in such an extensive collection of our industry was a huge milestone for the fresh produce sector amid the challenges of the past few years, this one included. Among them, Mucci Farms was one who ensured that pause was worth the wait.
